The Natural

Today we got up to White Pass Ski Resort with Nick for the first time. Against his Fathers wishes, and in turn with most youngsters, he decided to try snowboarding. He did a few hrs of lessons against his will, then off to the hill with Dad. As it turns out Nick has a natural talent on that thing. We had a great day, and both came home smoked. Next up is Reagan ( Dad can only handle one at a time), so stay tuned. It should be exciting.

Santa found us....

Merry Christmas Everyone!!! We sure hope that everyone had as wonderful of a holiday as we did. We appreciate all of you donating your white Christmas to us. However, you can keep your white New Year. Although this will go in the books as the most disjointed holiday season of my life, we have come through it unscathed. The end result: Everything moved and into the new place ( not quite all put away yet), The family up and running in a wonderful neighborhood, and 7 new friends for the beans (and still counting). All in all, everyone is healthy and happy, so who could ask for more. We truly want to thank all our family and friends that have been so helpful and supportive through this last year of change. Although this season tends to catch us up in the material aspect of life, our families number one gift cannot be measured. This year we received Stability for Christmas. Our thanks to all of you that helped give us this gift , it is by far our favorite and will last for years.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR,

Travis and the Beans

The Dewitts have arrived.

Well, amidst the worst snow storm in 5 yrs and weather well beyond the realm of sanity we moved to the new place this week. The good Lord smiled on us and broke the weather to allow us to drive back and forth. The end result is a finished move, on time, in the house with the Christmas tree up. Who could ask for anything more? I hope that everyone is enjoying the Holiday season and looking forward to a happy New Year. Keep in mind that if you don't have the blessing of a white Christmas just give us a call. We have enough winter for everyone right now.

Wild Weekend

Last weekend we got to host Grandma Patsy and Grandpa Denny for a weekend of fog covered fun here in WA on thier way to SoCal. Had a Great time at the Zoo and the Hands on Museum. Honsetly I was worn out. I think they put a bit of a hurting on us all. The Museum was great, and we had what may be the very last nice day this year to go to the Zoo. Well, everything is stabilizing in our lives and getting back to normal. I have a great job, the kids are all well, and anxious to get into their house, and we are all looking forward to our family being together for the Holidays. Hope everyone is well.

The Sun Shined on the Dewitts

Some of you might know that we have been looking for a house to move into for a while. After placing offers on a few short sales, and having them fall apart, we had all but given up. Enter the declining housing market....

We found and incredible deal within our price range (which was a tough one for a 4 BR house in WA), placed an offer and the good Lord smiled on us. In fact the day we made the offer, there was another couple making an offer. I was for sure that we would not get the house again. I am still amazed, the other folks must have really tried to lowball the seller, but long story short we got the house. It is in a good school district and right down the street from a beautiful park. It is good that we are going to be getting on with things, and start a new chapter in our lives. We plan on making the change over the Christmas break. I will keep you posted

Back on Track

Well, I am finally home and can get this thing up and going again. Unfortunately the net at Rucker would seldom allow me to upload any photos. I cannot express how much of a relief it is to get home to the beans and the cold overcast weather. I love me some liquid sunshine. Must have something to do with the red hair, or just that I have spent the better part of the summer in a literal sauna. Well, anyway, back to life as we know it. BTW the pic is from a weekend trip to the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola. It is hands down the best airplane museum I have ever seen, and I have seen most. If you are close to FL and miss it you are missing out for sure. Plus it is free....wohoooo!

Moving on up....

Well, my wonderful experience here at Fort Rucker is quickly coming to a close. I should be done end of this week and heading back towards home with a quick stop in Kentucky. With any luck I will get home before the Beans drive Grandma completely insane and be able to start working towards my own insanity. As usual, Grandma has had to deal with a lot of very tough things in my absence. Unfortunately it always seems that way. She is truly amazing. Following this I should be home for a bit to get trained up and settled in my new job. We have some catching up with local friends and family to take care of, then on into Advent and Christmas season. Maybe even an adventure down to SOCAL for a wedding. It looks like the house we made an offer on is going to fall through. It is unfortunate, but such is life. I'll be back to the realty web sites when I return as well. I apologise for not keeping up, this course has been pretty demanding for a simple kid like me. It is very rewarding though and will take our family's future where we need to go. Hope all is well with everyone. Travis
